I don't wish to sound too forward here, but we are embarking on a fund- raising venture to purchase an endoscope for turtle rehabilitation.
In your 'circle of friends' there may be someone, or an organisation which may be able to help. We currently have two seaturtles in care, that are on the brink of death, and expect more over the coming months.
One of these turtles passed 105 pieces of plastic, recovered, and was released. Less than one month later, it washed up again. I am more than sure that it has again, swallowed plastic pieces.
Another turtle which was released at the same time, was also washed up again. It has since died. Post Mortem results concluded that it's first meal on release, was plastic. -----
If you can help in any way, by passing the attachment on, I will be forevergrateful.
Best regards Lance

This is something worthwhile, marine turtles need our help as much as freshwater varieties, they face a unique range of dangers, including long line trawling, sharknets, plastic bags, degradation of nesting sites etc.

Yes they do, Thankyou for that enlightening news, but this IS about turtles. This is why its posted in the turtles Forum. Whats more its not 'just a couple of turtles'. If you'd like to post articles about other needy herps please feel feel in the appropriate forum/s. We'd love to hear about it, anything herp related is worthy of a mention here at Reptile Planet!
