Yesterday I had a scary encounter, We have our turtle tank in the lounge right next to the tv.
I went to remove a rock from the tank and just as I stuck my hand in, my long neck decided to bite me, I wasnt expecting it, it dosent hurt much, this species has flat jaw plates rather than a beaky mouth, but it startled the hell out of me and I splashed water straight into the side of the tv as i pulled my hand out!
The tv went off immediately and I thought 'Sh*T, Ive blown it up'!
later I plugged it in and it growled at me but no smoke
so after a few hours of drying out with the fan blowing through the back, it goes again!
Could have been very nasty electrocution death for me or the turtles!
Lesson learnt, the tank is getting moved!
