Thanks parko, I'l keep that in mind. Do you think they'd do ok in an outdoor aviary with some nice ferns etc in there? That's just how I'd imagine to keep them. If indoors they'd need quite a big cage wouldn't they? Considering the size of their tails and all.
Foxy, they would thrive in an outdoor aviary if plenty of shade is provided but i would be inclined to keep them in smaller plastic tubs for the first year then move them into the outdoor enclosure when they are bigger. They are quite susceptible to bacterial infections when small so a fairly sterile set up to start with would be good then bit by bit enlarge the plastic tub and start to introduce a bit of greenery. As adults 3 foot high minimum(4 foot even better) by 2 foot wide should be fine for an indoor enclosure i reckon, basically the more height the better as they spend much of their time up in the branches. They really aren't that active generally speaking, the odd high dive off a branch to the floor when they wish to bathe or cool down, then a quick run up the branch again when they wish to heat up would be the most exciting part of the day Lol. Daniel are you asking about mealworms or spinipes? Spinipes like to stay fairly cool so a hot spot of around 25deg and access to cool spots aswell is neccesary. Not really sure how they'd go in Darwin as they really dont handle the heat well unless you can provide a place to escape it. They are found as far up the eastern coast as lower Qld.

First two pager thread! Whoo hoo!
Hope to aquire an angle in the future, intresting looking critters. Matt are they strictly diurnal or do they sometimes get about in twilight? do they ever forage or rely in bugs in the branches? I understand ya give em mealies so obviously they ea from a bowl? im thinking in the right enclosure they'd pick off woodies n crix climing branches as they would in the wild?

Hey Parko, is there any chance of getting a photo or 2 of how you've got your Angleheads setup? Cheers, Dee.
