Thanks Bren, Stunning pics as usual. Mate you make our herps look Sooo good! Id love a few burtons, wish they wernt lizard eaters. And must be not often you see them (captive) since the burrow i beleive? Are they nocturnal or diurnal?

thanks mate. Nah they arnt burrowers but spend a lot of time in leaf-litter. Im pretty sure they are mainly nocturnal. We found about 9 on the last trip. Once again we found them on the roads at night. Also found a Northern hooded scaly-foot (pygopus steelscotti...i think thats the spelling anyway).
Scaly-foot... If u look closely u will be able to see the vestigal limb just above its head.

Cool stuff, I can just see the scale/limb. looks like mini bhp lol. I was looking in coggers 5th recently and discovered we have a whole lot of fantastic lookin herps I never knew existed!!

Love that last pic Brendan! - I didn't even realise the Burton's tend to have the vestigal limb same as that (I've seen/picked up at least a dozen now), until the last time I went out herping and really had a good look at a Burton's! Shocking - I know!!
