Thanks for the comments!:) They are all basically VERY placid and very easy to handle. The Yellow Anaconda would have to be the worst when it comes to anything though. I'm still using a hook for the most part to get her out, she has calmed down a lot since I first got her, but she can still sometimes be a little squirmy when you try and move her around. My Green Anacondas are 99% of the time, no struggle, perfect snakes to handle. The one percent of the time is when they don't want to be handled, and then you will know that one really fast.smile.gif

Lol Ben, Have you had these snakes from hatchlings? Have they ever tagged you?
Id imagine if youve had them from the word 'go' you mightve had a few hits, since most little snakes do that, naturally.
I quite like the retic too, though I prefere there normal (wild) look as opposed to morphs. Does anyone over there breed albino retics?

Anaconda_Guy- 11-08-2005
The only ones I've really had from Neonates would be the Anery and the male Green Anaconda, and also I've had the super tiger from a hatchling. But no actually, the Anery and Male Green Anaconda have never really snapped at me. The anery took a bite to taste the first day we got him and the Green took a bite the first day we got him too, and that's it. The super tiger was a bit different, he started snapping at me later, but he's pretty much calm now.smile.gif

Whenever you say does anyone breed albino retics down here, do you mean America or where I'm from? Although it doesn't really matter, because both are a yes, I know a few people that breed albinos around here, and there are a billion people that breed them in America. They are still fairly expensive but a lot of people are bringing the prices down to $800-$900 to move them out.smile.gif

Thanks,
Ben

Cool Stuff! Oh sorry Ben, keep getting you and The Boa guy from NY mixed up. your from Canada right?
I know a guy on another site from canada has awesome lavendar retics n stuff, like i said, they really look smashing, but I prefere the natural patterns found in the wild.

likewise my little darwin python, had a taste of me first day aswell but not since.
probly comes down to the individual snake ratherthan species i think.

keep the pics cominmate, dont forget feed day pics! smile.gif

Anaconda_Guy- 11-08-2005
Oh, it's no big deal.smile.gif I'm actually from MO.smile.gif I like Regular Retics also, but I'm just a huge fan of Super Tigers still. Although I've seen an 18' Albino retic before, and that seriously took my breath away.smile.gif I don't know how many chances I'm going to get for feeding pics, lol. I think my Female Green is done feeding, and my male should be done sometime soon. The only reason I haven't gotten any yet, is mainly because my snakes don't snap at their food, I usually just have to leave it in the cage and wait for them to take it. I can't even remember the time I actually watched one of my snakes completely finish a meal, I always only get to see the mouth open and that's it. They are usually pretty shy eaters.. But here are a couple, one of my male green and the other of my Yellow. Both are the constricting process though, not really in detail feeding pics.smile.gif

You just gotta get into taking photos of your animals mate, itll grab ya! its alot of fun to try and get a yawn shot, or prefeed yawn. smile.gif

Anaconda_Guy- 11-09-2005
Thanks! I usually only feed my male 1 collosal rat every 6-7 days, he has eaten 1-2 lbs rabbits before, but usually doesn't feed on them during the winter, so I just feed him collosal rats, he will eat them just fine.smile.gif Supply is very easy to find where I live, never had a problem finding anything.smile.gif lol, And I will put on a huge smile for you guys in the next group of pictures I take with me in them.smile.gif

No, the pics are posted on the site, they open up fine on my computer... Maybe whenever you read this again, you will be able to see them, could have just been a server problem or something.smile.gif

Thanks,
~Ben

yeh its a shame we cant keep them in australia, the export laws 4 animals should at least let us bring exotic lizards in let alone snakes
