A face-shield is a must protection when dealing with the Black-necked spitting cobra (Naja nigricollis). This species is typical to the savannah but has been found in the rain forest as well. Usamabara Mountains, Tanzania.

Meet a real Indiana Jones - a scientist adventurer who flies, dives, and drives like a demon to gather blood from the world's deadliest snakes. In Tanzania's most pristine environments, Yale researcher Zoltan Takacs survives a dangerous bush landing and the lethal spray of spitting cobras to continue his research into a tantalizing question - why are cobras resistant to their own venom? He's got just two weeks to penetrate hard-to-reach environments and come back with blood samples from some of the world's deadliest snakes. © N.G.S.

DNA can easily be extracted from a wide variety of tissues (like blood, shed skin, tail tip) and this means that animals in the wild that are sampled can be released after a few minutes causing only a minor or no discomfort at all to them. After sampling, the tissue is placed in a special liquid to preserve the molecules (there is no freezer in the rain forest) and travels back to the laboratory where the DNA is extracted and analyzed.

Great thanks all done. I recon that should be automatic till the member deactivates it.

I saw that there is no PM function. Don’t want to be critic but in my personal opinion this is a nice option so things like this are not discussed on open forum.
Its if I want to give you or some else my email address for some reason but dont what the world to see it so it does not appear on some spam mail listing.

There IS a PM function mate, just click this button -> user posted image
at the bottom of a persons post or click on their username which takes you to their profile where there is a PM link.

Youll get the hang of it! cool.gif
