Anyone Here own Mertens water monitors? I saw 2 juveniles about 30cm long at the expo and WOW, there awesome!
If anyone knows how much they go for here in australia, please let me know!

That's a great shot of one swimming underwater! Excellent.

It's interesting that they use their tongue underwater, presumeably to "sniff" out prey!

Oh Im sorry Buddah, misunderstanding mate, I didnt take these 2 pics, neither of these are the actual animals I was referring to, but this species. These pics came from the web when I searched 'species', Id never seen them before the expo, atleast , not juveniles.
But yes its a great shot the adult looks great too! Big pond later, big enclosure!
