Oh my god! 2 of geckos got out of my enclosure last night - I'm devastated! The lid - made out of that wood with the holes in it (yeah, I know I can't remember the name for it - and yes i am blonde). Had a tiny gap in it and my 2 smallest geckos got out. I fixed the lid now, but havn't seen the gecks yet. I'm going to look around with the torch tonight. I hope I find them, and the house gecks don't eat them. Any tips appreciated!

Crap, I hope ya find em, one of mine escaped recently, thanfully she took a dive into an empty 1 ltr coke cup and couldnt get out again, so i found her and moved both to another 'high security' enclosure.
check high places, curtains etc anything high they canm climb on, torchlights a great idea. please let us know how ya go.

Good news! - My boyfriend found 1 of my geckos last night! A big male, now there is just 1 more to find. The 1 to find I believe to be rather small, so hopefully against the odds I hope we find her!

Great that u found one of the slippery little suckers foxy!
Have you thought of leaving a feed bowl out for her so she will be encouraged to hang around rather than go searching for food? You may be able to sneak into the room at night, turn the lights on and like magic there she is beside the feed bowl?
There is a frog living in one of my indoor plants that i leave a bowl of mealies out for occasionally and he has been hanging around for months now even though he could easilly escape under one of our doors, dont see that a gecko should be any different.

Hey Parko, wish I'd read that before! Didn't think of it! OK! Sorry every1, I have found the last escapee gecko! - I stayed up all night the other night chasing it! I found it was hiding behind the fridge. The fridge sits inside a cupboard which actually opens and runs behind all the kitchen cupboards. I took the fridge out (left it hooked up lucky it has a long lead!) and the gecko kept poking its head out and by the time I tried to grab it it'd run back up behind the cupboards. Seeing as I'm short and have short arms, it was 'safely' out of my reach! (I'm 161cm) So after a few hours it took a run and jumped on the floor and I grabbed it! Very happy and very tired(it was 4 am by the time I went to sleep), I put it away and none of them can now escape. happy.gif

Good stuff Foxy, happy to hear it! I had my Banded tree snakes(candy stick snakes) escape on me when i first got them, got a call at work from my freaked out wife demanding i come home and catch them immediately. She even had chairs placed strategically to jump on incase they came slithering out, she likes snakes but was scared of the tree snakes for a while there Lol. I was lucky to find them snuggled up togethor in the first place i looked, another time one escaped and i found him under the bird cage looking up eagerly at the petrified budgie. I since then made a more secure lid, for my wife and my budgies piece of mind.
