The very first small egg layed by the smaller female proved unfertile. This was expected. unfortunately the two layed by the big girl were aswell. So heres hoping hes not pushing blanks this time.

Well im calling it a 'pre-lay shed', its happened on both occasions. It makes sense the animal is growing (particularly a gecko that has two eggs that are huge by comparison of body size) so just before laying, when shes at her biggest, shes grown/stretched to accomodate the eggs, its reasonable that old skin must slough
as new growth skin grows.
Both times the shed occured just before laying, day before or even same day.
hence its a 'pre-lay shed'.
weather the great experts would agree gex have a 'pre-lay shed' is another thing.
