Sorry Hally, I've searched the net for a couple of hours and found nothing for you.
The closest I've come is this site:

http://www.reptileallsorts.com/colubrid-cs.htm

Although this is entitled 'Colubrid Care Sheet', it is very general and a bit suspect in some of the recommendations. It was probably meant to refer to American Corn snakes judging by the handling and housing comments.

You would probably get more value out of the Night Tiger thread on this Forum.

I hope someone else has better luck for you.

Hally I also searched, but like preveious searches for caresheets for these also came up with very little other than enviro talk concerning them in guam etc. Rather strange considering they are a popular pet snake here.
I urge you to look in 'members' list here, look up Member called 'Parko', matt is a mate of mine who owns these nice colubrids and will be happy to tell you everything you need to know.
just click the 'email' button under his name and email him as he dosent get online much due a slow connection.

Hi Hally, not sure what you want to know in particular. Have u got a brown tree snake or thinking of getting one? I've found mine to be good feeders on small live mice but are reluctant to eat thawed rodents, though some people find they will eat either readily. I only recommend live if they wont take thawed. I will offer a small mouse every 2nd day til they wont eat anymore, then let them get hungry for a cpl weeks. I've found mine to be very irregular with feeding, they pig out in spring and most of summer but then wont touch a thing autumn/winter so i cool them down a little bit during those times. Every one seems to relate different stories about their feeding habits so it's most likely fair to say they vary much from specimen to specimen. I use coco fibre for their substrate as they love burrowing through it and it helps maintain the reasonably humid conditions they seem to like. Minimum 1200x600x600 dimensions for their enclosure in my opinion, though taller is better. Lots of branches, fresh water, and i've found mine seem to appreciate having a live plant or two to hide in. Regarding temperament I've found them to be fairly placid but this also seems to vary from specimen to specimen. I mostly just handle them if i'm cleaning their enclosure or something. Anything else u want to know? smile.gif

I would reccomend talking to SWMBO and Raptor as they have a number of colubrids.

I cant remember the URL but there's quite a good PDF around on Australian Colubrids by Rick Shine. Each species gets a mention, some more in depth than others, although the brown does OK. I have it saved to ROM somewhere, if you have no luck searching for the Rick Shine document, PM me & I'll email it. I know that Brian Barnett wrote a good article some years ago on breeding the bandeds, but wouldn't know which mag it was written for or if it's still available. Worth a search, anyway.
