OK, the story of this guy first. We call him lucky. It got down to about 40 degrees F' so my wife, kids and i were out cutting down grape vines in our back yard. After we cleared a large patch we found this guy laying on the ground lifeless. (Well we thought he was dead) Apparently someone had let him go or he escaped from some place and took refuge in out grape vines. Stray cats had gotten ahold of him so he had a good cut on his nose and some puncture wounds in his belly.
The first pic is the day we found him.
The next two are yesterday.

Awesome pics Scaleman, I like Iggys. Does the bright yellow mean good health?
Basically anything that dosent exist in the wild here are classed 'exotic', we only see this stuff in zoo's. Strict no import laws (except zoo's n wildlife parks) mean we wish ! We drool! id love a few chameleons too! So this ones a pet now? Keep em coming please

I really don't know alot about iguanas. the dark grey spots on him are the places he was injured. they are really brightening up. he took strawberries from my hand today. so i think he's doing better. he still likes to tail whip me when i catch him off guard. Its funny, i've been trying to find him a home for a couple of weeks now and i'm having no luck.

I hope ya can find a home for it, They get pretty big dont they? I hear big males can be really agro in the breeding season.

He/she is a juvenile now. About 2ft from nose to tail. Not too agressive. Whips with his tail a bit, but i guess i would be a little defensive myself lol. If i don't find a home for him, he'll be fine where he's at. I'm about to set up one of my 55 gallons for him.

Sweet lizard Scaleman, i know what u mean i am forever finding stray Iguana's, Chameleons and mad looking vipers in my backyard, I WISH!! Anyway looks like he picked the right yard to hide in, though a shame about the cat attack, bloody cats are only good for a stir-fry I reckon.

lmao about the stir fry, I guess we have the same love of cats. Finding it in the yard was a fluke. We will be covered in snow shortly. Not a lot of reptiles native to New York lol. We have Timber Rattlers, and a bunch of various snakes, frogs toads, and such, but nothing too exciting. My guess is one of the neighbors didnt realize that iguanas grow as big as they do and let it out the back door.
